    Amr Abdel Basset Abdel Aziz Diab, better known as Amr Diab, was born in 1961 in Port Said, Egypt. His father held a high position in the shipbuilding industry, while his mother taught French. It was thanks to his father that Amr was able to experience singing in front of an audience at a young age. At the age of 6, he performed the Egyptian anthem on the national holiday and received a guitar as a prize from the governor. It was then that he decided to become a big star in the music industry.

    Amr Diab studied at The Academy of Arts in Cairo, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in music. His first album, "Ya Tareeq" (O Road), was released in 1983, followed by his second album, "Ghanny Men Albak" (Sing From Your Heart) in 1985.
